What is Little Wonders | Locally Grown?

Little Wonders is Child Care Resources Inc.’s annual benefit to support the organization’s work on behalf of young children and those who care for and educate them.

Locally Grown – the theme for this year’s event – reflects our deep roots in the community and our ongoing efforts to nurture the seeds of early learning, to promote economic opportunity, to grow the market of quality child care, and to provide the resources children and families need to thrive.

Guests at Little Wonders | Locally Grown will experience a celebration of farm-to-table cuisine created by a local celebrity chef, microbrews from some of our region’s finest breweries, craft cocktails designed by a noted Master Mixologist, and live music by NC native Americana band, Sweet T and the Biscuits - all hosted at the Ritz-Carlton in Charlotte.

Sweet T & The Biscuits

Formed as an outlet for reaching out and connecting with the continually burgeoning music scene in NC, Sweet T & The Biscuits, an eclectic, acoustic-driven foursome, was formed by long-time friends and bandmates Meagan Fishel (uke, vocals), Jonathan Barlekamp (guitar/vocals) and his wife, Sarah (bass uke, vocals), and Adam Durham (guitar/vocals). Often combining Acoustic covers baked up fresh alongside sweet vocal harmonies with influences from folk, rock, Americana, country, R&B, soul, and pop, Sweet T & The Biscuits perform their own creative works and enjoy putting their own twist on popular (or sometimes obscure) covers.
